Stretch marks are no threat
Stretch marks are not a disease. Due to stretching of muscles and tearing of dermis, a mark develops on the skin. It is also termed as stria in dermatology. It mostly occurs to the persons who have over stretching of muscle and skin.

Frequently it can be found in pregnant women. They get this mark after five to six months of pregnancy. When abdomen grows bigger and heavier, skin feels stressed and red and blue lines appear on the skin. These lines get less visible after some time but they still exist. They are no harm to normal functioning of body. It only looks bad, that’s it.
Now days, stretch mark removal is no big deal, prescription retinoid and laser removal are few of them.
These marks are common on areas where amount of fat is more. Belly bottom, under the arms, thighs both lower and upper, hips and buttocks are the major areas. At these areas due to greater accumulation of fats skin and muscle feels pressure. They expand which results in stretched marks. It is not true that, stretch marks occur to only overweight persons. Body builders can also get these marks due to over stressed skins. It is merely a hormonal discrepancy.
